Cleaning at any time is not a pleasant chore but the results are well worth the effort. We clean the house for all sorts of occasions: a special day, special visitors, or even just because we cannot stand the mess any longer. How wonderful it is to be able to sing or listen to carols as you clean throughout the Christmas season or to be able to plan further details of the festive season.
Things to do
- Arrange a Carols by Candelight event.
- Arrange to go carol singing with some friends as Christmas Day draws closer (see December 23).
- Do some cleaning.
- Sing a song...
Jingle Bells - J. Pierpont
Dashing through the snow
On a one-horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way.
Bells on bob-tail ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to ride and sing
A sleighing song to night.
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride on a one-horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride on a one-horse open sleigh
(There are more verses to this song, can you find some?)
- Write a story or a verse using the characters in the picture for today.
