A table runner and coasters I made for Marion and Barre while I was staying with them in Massachusetts.
Here are some more table runners that Elaine and I have made recently. I can now bind corners perfectly and consistently every time. It was such fun to match feature blocks, then find colours that would co-ordinate with each.
For Lynn
For Kay
For Marion and Barre
For Jane and Don
For Megan and Nic
For Delia and John
These were all inspired by the fun I had with my first try below.
Made for Suzy using postage stamp squares she made from old shirt cuffs,
bordered with an old shirt of Surrey's.
An Alex and a Luke memory quilt made for Ellen from pieces of the boy's clothing kept by Ellen - too precious to throw out or give away. Very difficult to sew using rules like quarter-inch seams so I gave up and just made it all fit.
My Chorus Oz coat made from all the Tshirts we have been given to perform in over the years (2005-2010). I have plenty of room on the coat to applique sections of any more Tshirts I receive, like Beethoven's Missa Solemnis from 2011. Nola gave me the lapel fabric which is massed choirs. Again this was very difficult to sew with all the fabrics being of different quality and stretchability.
