Before I went to Japan I cut down one of Surrey's polarfleece jackets to fit me then covered it with patchwork. I am rather pleased with the result.
Here is an earlier creation - I had such a large pile of 2.5" scraps that I decided there were enough for a quilt and hey presto! I have put it on red polarfleece. I loved working out the play on light and dark fabrics. I now want to make another one from Surrey's shirts and waterlily fabrics in a green-pink theme. These pieces were great to use as leaders and enders. I think the binding should have been the same width as the red inner frame but it looks OK as it is too. The corners feature tinier leaders and enders.
A sample for a project with Sylvanvale... a mug rug and place mat using quilt-as-you-go technique.
I made this quilt with lots of scraps from the Kogarah Library Quilters stash of donated fabrics. I just made it up as I went along.

While Alex did the sewing on the quilt above, Luke chose the blocks for his quilt (below) from my orphan blocks and fabrics. He loves his cuddly little quilt but so does Jess (their dog) who chews off the little beads in the Christmas blocks. I had to mend one by appliqueing another block over the top of it (bottom centre).
