Each country has its own traditional food for Christmas. The time spent preparing these foods with the family is always associated with friendly chatter, delightful smells and licking of bowls and fingers. With the busy lifestyle of modern times the preparation of homemade delights is often cut short. However, the warm feelings which flow from time spent together in the kitchen are well worth the effort which they might require.

Gingerbread Man - ABC Playschool
I'm going to make a gingerbread man
He'll taste so very sweet.
With a cherry nose and raisin eyes
He'll be so good to eat.
His buttons are made of currants
And I'll give him two big feet.
Why will you give him two big feet?
So there'll be more to eat!
I'm going to make a gingerbread man
I'm hungry as can be!
I'm going to make a gingerbread man
And eat him up for tea!
