There was lots of pomp and ceremony but the best bit was hearing all the stories about why each person received their award. At this particular function there were about 50 awardees.
After the ceremony we were treated to drinks and finger food in the grounds of Government House. After that we were again treated to a beautiful lunch at the Mint Cafe where Geoff's friend Mic is the chef. Thanks Mic for topping off our very special day.
The award included a certificate and an array of medals for different occasions.
Congratulations to Surrey who well deserved this award.
