Fleeting visits to Underhill

Our visits over the last few months have often been rather short while Geoff and Jen bought a new home and moved in. Last Saturday Geoff, Ivy, Ponyo and I  did a half day trip.

A lot of thought was given to the circular fenced orchard and how to manage wombats in that. We realise that we cannot manage anything really so all we can do is manage the trees themselves. Geoff sorted the watering system so that they get plenty of water at least after the rain fills the watering tank. The fruit looks good this year so I hope the birds leave us some.

Ivy loves Underhill and busied herself with all her familiar 'toys'. She is so happy to just potter.

Geoff and Ivy planted quite a few acorns in the hope that one or two will sprout, or maybe even a lot!

We retrieved the comfy brown chair for the new house too. It might look awful but it is comfortable. If anyone knows an upholsterer who could give it a makeover of good quality then let one of us know.

On the way out we stopped to show Ivy an echidna that had just crossed the road in front of us. She had a really close up view.
