Barre and Marion are visiting from the USA so Elaine came for dinner with us. We had a box of fruit from Fruit Only that included a Tamarillo and a Pomegranate. Elaine knew that the tamarillo was ripe so we all shared that. It is quite yummy. None of us had had a pomegranate before so we entertained ourselves with YouTube videos on how to tell if they were ripe and how to prepare them.
After deciding what method we would use to prepare it we all had a bit of fun in the kitchen pulling it apart until we ended up with a beautiful bowl of red pearls.
Of course as Barre is an ice cream a-holic we had our first taste for dessert with ice cream. Quite pleasant.
Since then we have finished them all on our breakfast yoghurt and cereal.
We had lots of fun with this little culinary adventure.
