Monday 7 August - Sydney-Brisbane
Up at 5am after a sleepless night. I even got up around midnight and sent an email! Taxi at 6am and out to the airport for the expected long queues through security but there were actually only 2 people in front of me in the queue! Then came the 2 hour wait for the flight to Brisbane.
A taxi to Aunty Dot and Uncle Des meant I had lots of time to chat and catch up before Barbara arrived. We all enjoyed lunch together before Barbara and I left for her house.
Barbara took me up to Bellbird Grove where we did a 1 km walk in the dusk. A lovely peaceful way to end a long and busy day.
Home again to sort my bag for the next step of my journey tomorrow and prepare dinner. Rachel arrived home and enjoyed dinner with us too.
The world is ever changing, leading us down new paths, in new directions. We can allow the past to guide us forward but turning back is not an option. While Surrey's loss has left a profound sadness and emptiness in my world I am excited about my new adventures. Follow me here on my journey.
