After 2 weeks I only have to wear my splint at night to keep my hand straight so the cords don't grow back.
My hand is now significantly straighter but is still a little bruised. I have to do exercises 2 hourly and can't do heavy work - ha ha! How else do I carry out heavy washing baskets and open stuck windows? But at least now I can use a knife and scissors.
In all I am satisfied with my progress and once the bruising goes down I'll be able to clap for the first time in years!
The world is ever changing, leading us down new paths, in new directions. We can allow the past to guide us forward but turning back is not an option. While Surrey's loss has left a profound sadness and emptiness in my world I am excited about my new adventures. Follow me here on my journey.
