After a morning of hard work removing dust and returning furniture Kim and I have completed the back room renovations. Now when I look out from my breakfast chair I see this...

I have had the sashed back windows replaced with plain sheets of glass, the ceiling painted and the floor sanded creating a layer of dust through the whole house to face when I came back from my Japan trip. The change is amazing though not yet complete as I still have to hang paintings and replace ornaments when the window seat tops are sanded and estapoled. The room is so much lighter, going from this...
... to this...
From the back yard it even looks better as there is now no need to have fly screens and the windows will be much easier to clean.
I can now sit in my green chair for breakfast and enjoy the view of my garden, or entertain at the table and feel as though I am part of the world outside. Wonderful!
